Discomfort = growth. Yes, you can.

"It's uncomfortable."
Exactly. It's supposed to be.

Learning, growth and change happens when you're outside your comfort zone.
While you're on autopilot, or doing things the way you've always done them, new knowledge and habits aren't being formed. Interestingly, knowing that growth lives in discomfort matters, too.
Last week, I belatedly picked up Adam Grant's book "Hidden Potential". In an interesting discourse on building character skills, he cites a psychology study done on Improv classes, where participants were randomly assigned different instructions. Those who were told that feeling awkward and uncomfortable meant the exercise was working were the most persistent and took most risks.
There's going to be bit of stress in taking risks and doing something you haven't done before - whether that's thinking differently or picking up a new habit or skill. It's the good type of stress, so take it on. You can do it.
So, what slightly scary thing can you try this week?
(And if you need an idea, I highly recommend Improv! :)
