Hello, I'm Jessica

I work as a Certified Co-Active coach, facilitator and consultant, helping leaders, teams and amazing mid-lifers discover ways to unlock the future they want.

My skills come together in powerful support for more confidence, balance and collaboration: Healthy Productivity.

I come to this work from 25 years in senior roles across innovation, strategy, qualitative research and media, complemented by studies in psychology, neuroscience and of course through training in coaching.

I work independently and with partners such as Triple Agent and Spark Ninety, where I'm an advisory board member.

I'd love to hear what change you're looking for and how I can help.

My Story

In my work, I've always focused on people. I like change, so I pivot. I've gone from journalism and analysis to strategy consultancy, from innovation to qualitative consumer insight and back to design thinking. I've worked for small companies and big corporates, in-house and as a consultant, in a few different countries, exploring life through travel in between. I am a lifelong learner, immigrant and explorer. I speak three languages fluently and find myself being slightly different in each.

Change is also part of life. I am different from what I once was. I was decidedly non-sporty for all my youth and 20s, but now I can't imagine life without movement. I was someone who drank rather a lot of wine. Now, this is selective and occasional. I was, at my core, insecure for most of my life. Step-by-step, work on myself with coaches has changed that. Before, I felt I needed to have the answers. Now I enjoy asking questions to help others figure out what's right.

I spent many years in mobile and tech - as a prominent analyst, as a strategy consultant and setting global app strategy for Nokia. My first question was always: 'What human need does this serve?' This developed into a passion for working with people and teams, helping to improve collaboration, culture and manage change.

Since 2014, I've been working independently. Working with a wide range of organisations has helped me develop a deeper understanding of the different pressures we face at work. An increasing focus on people and culture led me to take a course in coaching psychology skills in 2016 - a part of my commitment to learning. I continued with cherry-picked university courses in psychology and cognitive neuroscience, but my mind kept going back to coaching. Someone recommended the Co-Active Training Institute as a good place to deepen my skills.

Co-active coaching has been transformational for me: I've grown and become clearer on where I want to take my work and life. Most importantly, I've found true confidence and developed a far deeper understanding of who I am and what I need to thrive. It's immensely rewarding to help others do the same.

When I'm not working, I get energy from keeping active - cycling, running, dancing and other kinds of movement make my day. I seek out new experiences and learn new things. I adore being around whales (preferably in a kayak) and other wildlife. I worship dogs. I love the fun and challenge of amateur acting and improv (the latter for playing around rather than performing!). I work and live in English, Swedish and Spanish.

To get a flavour of my thinking, read the blog, or follow me on LinkedIn and Instagram. To connect to work together, drop me a line.
